This was evident when she failed ninth grade English because she spent more time reading novels than doing her homework. In high school, she found solace in reading massive hardback fantasy novels during lunch. It wasn’t until the end of her senior year that her peers realized she was reading fiction, not the Bible. However, Bethany’s passion for reading eventually led to her sister daring her to start writing for an hour a day until she completed a novel. This challenge resulted in a seven-hundred page fantasy novel that she chose not to share with others, but it served as a valuable learning experience. Since then, she has successfully published SHIFTING (2011), STUNG (2013), and CURED (2014).
