Biography David Ellis

David Ellis, a lawyer and recipient of the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel for Line of Vision, has had a successful legal career since graduating from Northwestern Law School. Starting in private practice in Chicago in 1993, he later served as the House Prosecutor, successfully trying and convicting Illinois Governor Blagojevich in the Impeachment Trial before the Illinois Senate. In 2014, he was elected to the Illinois Appellate Court and currently resides outside Chicago with his wife and three children.
