About Fernando Savater

Born in San Sebastián on June 21, 1947, Fernando Savater is widely regarded as one of Spain’s most influential living philosophers. In addition to his work as an essayist and author, he has served as a professor of Ethics at the University of the Basque Country and currently holds a position as a Philosophy professor at the Complutense University of Madrid. Savater has received numerous awards for his literary contributions, which span a wide range of topics including contemporary ethics, politics, cinema, and literary studies. In 1990, he co-founded the magazine, Claves de Razón Práctica, with columnist and publisher, Javier Pradera.
