Biography Igor Oleynikov

Igor Oleynikov, born on January 4, 1953 in Lubertsy, a satellite town of Moscow, had a passion for art from a young age. Despite entering the Institute of Chemical Engineering after school, his true dream was to study at the Institute of Polygraphy. After six years of studies, he worked as an engineer for three years before making a career change to work at the “Sojuzmultfilm” animation studio. Since 1986, Oleynikov has been working for Moscow book and magazine publishers while still pursuing his love for drawing cartoons. His passion for both cartoons and books continues to thrive, and he cannot choose which one he enjoys more.
