Who is István Örkény
István Örkény, a Hungarian writer known for his satirical view and creation of grotesque situations in his plays and novels, was born in Budapest, the son of a pharmacist. After studying chemical engineering and pharmacy, he traveled to London in 1938 and lived in Paris, where he worked casually in 1939.
