Jann Franklin resides in Grand Cane, Louisiana, a small town with a population of over three hundred people. Many of the stories in her chapters were inspired by the residents of the town. Jann and her husband John enjoy simple pleasures such as attending the Grand Cane Baptist Church on Sundays, having dinner with family and friends, and watching the lightning bugs in their backyard. Despite their children leading busy lives in the big city, they occasionally come to visit.
