Who is Jennifer Thorndike

Jennifer Thorndike, born in Lima, Peru in 1983, is a writer and scholar. She earned her Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Thorndike is the author of the novels (Ella) (2012), Esa muerte existe (2016), as well as the short story collections Cromosoma Z (2007) and Antifaces (2015). Her work has been featured in numerous Peruvian and Latin American anthologies, and has been translated into Portuguese, French, and English. In 2016, she was recognized by FIL-Guadalajara as one of the most outstanding Latin American writers born in the 1980s. Currently, she resides in Illinois, where she also teaches literature.
