Biography Jody Lynn Nye
Jody Lynn Nye is a prolific writer of fantasy and science fiction books and short stories, but her main career activity is spoiling cats. Before she became a full-time writer, Jody worked in various roles such as a file clerk, bookkeeper, journalist, photographer, accounting assistant, and costume maker. She also spent four years on the technical operations staff of a local Chicago television station, where she eventually became the Technical Operations Manager. In addition to her writing career, Jody has taught in writing workshops, spoken at schools and libraries, and even taught fantasy writing at Columbia College Chicago. She is also involved in organizing writer workshops and serves as a judge for the Writers of the Future contest. Jody lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Bill Fawcett, and their three cats, Athena, Minx, and Marmalade.
