Who is Kohei Horikoshi

HORIKOSHI Kouhei, born in 1986 in the prefecture of Aichi, is a well-known Japanese manga artist. He gained recognition in the manga industry when his one-shot “Nukegara” made it to the final six of Shueisha’s 72nd Tezuka Award for Newcomers in 2006, earning him an “Honorable Mention”. Since then, he has contributed various short stories to Shueisha’s Akamaru JUMP and published his one-shot “Oumagadoki Doubutsuen” in issue #2/2010 of Weekly Shounen JUMP. Horikoshi is a graduate of Nagoya University of Arts and previously worked as an assistant to TANAKA Yasuki. His zodiac sign is Scorpio and his work can be found on Pixiv under the username 堀越.
