About Leigh Statham
Leigh Statham’s upbringing in rural Idaho instilled within her a love for adventure and the great outdoors, but it was her journey to the East Coast that ultimately captured her heart. Along the way, she has worn many hats, including waitress, maid, artist, math teacher, nurse, web designer, art director, and even wrangler of a thirty-foot inflatable pig and mule. These diverse experiences eventually led her to settle into the roles of teacher, mother, and writer in North Carolina, where she resides with her four children, three dogs, and an impressive collection of cookie recipes. In addition to her work as a managing editor for Teen Author Boot Camp’s poetry collection, Leigh is a full-time high school English teacher with an MFA in YA literature. She also enjoys sharing her passion for books with audiences of all ages through speaking engagements.
