Natalie Rompella is a prolific author with over forty books and educational guides for young readers to her name. She is also the recipient of a Work-in-Progress grant from the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for an early version of her book, Cookie Cutters & Sled Runners. Like the protagonist of her book, Ana, Natalie developed a passion for baking in sixth grade and later found herself drawn to the exciting world of sled dog racing as an adult. With a background in museum education and teaching at the elementary and middle school levels, Natalie currently resides in Libertyville, Illinois with her family.
