Who is P.M. Newton

After completing her Arts degree, P.M. Newton made a career shift and joined the New South Wales police force in 1982. Over the next thirteen years, she gained valuable experience working in different departments in and around Sydney, including Drug Enforcement, Sexual Assault, and Major Crime. Beginning as an officer and later becoming a detective, Newton eventually decided to leave the force after growing tired of constantly meeting people on the worst day of their lives. She then took some time to travel and live overseas before returning to Sydney, where she now works as a librarian and pursues her passion for writing. Her debut novel, The Old School, is a reflection of her unique life experiences.
