Biography Sam Meekings
Sam Meekings was raised near the south coast of England and went on to study Modern History and English Literature at Mansfield College, Oxford University. He later pursued a Masters degree in Creative Writing at Edinburgh University before moving to China in 2005 to work as a teacher and editor. Recently, he relocated to Qatar with his family to take on the role of Lecturer in poetry and creative writing at Qatar University. In addition to his academic work, Sam has been recognized for his poetry, being longlisted for an Eric Gregory Award for poets under 30 in 2006 and 2007.
