Biography Yasumi Tsuhara

Born in 1964 in Hiroshima Prefecture, Tsuhara Yasumi initially wrote novels for young girls using his forename written in Hiragana letters. However, in 1997, he began using his current name, 津原泰水, and published Yoto. Since then, he has achieved notable recognition in the literary world, including reaching first place in the Japanese division of the Second Twitter Literary Prize in 2012 with his work 11 eleven, and winning first place in the Japanese short story section of All-time Best Science Fiction in 2014 with Goshiki no fune, a special publication to mark the 700th edition of SF Magazine.
