Who is Agnė Narušytė

Agnė Narušytė is a Lithuanian art historian and curator. She worked as a curator at the Lithuanian Art Museum from 1997 to 2006, taught at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland from 2006 to 2008, and has been the head of the Department of Art History and Theory at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA) since 2009. She collaborates with the cultural and arts weekly “7 meno dienos”, where she worked as the editor of the foreign culture page from 1998 to 2000 and co-created the weekly program “Kultūros spąstai” on LRT in 2000-2001. She curated photography exhibitions at the ŠMC and Vilnius Picture Gallery, compiled several exhibition catalogs and photography albums, and in 2008 published the monograph “The Aesthetics of Boredom in Lithuanian Photography”.
