About Angélica Freitas

Nascido em 8 de abril de 1973 em Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, ele frequentou a faculdade de jornalismo na UFRGS em Porto Alegre. Sua carreira inclui trabalho como repórter para O Estado de S. Paulo e a revista Informática Hoje em São Paulo. Atualmente, ele se dedica à tradução de poesia e está trabalhando em seu segundo livro, que contém pequenos poemas de suas viagens pela Bolívia. Seu trabalho foi publicado em várias revistas, incluindo Inimigo Rumor, Diário de Poesía (Argentina) e aguasfurtadas (Portugal). Ele também é um dos poetas incluídos na coletânea Cuatro poetas recientes de Brasil (Buenos Aires, 2006). Seu primeiro livro, Rilke shake, faz parte da lista dos 51 títulos aprovados pela comissão do Prêmio Portugal Telecom em 2008. Durante vários anos, ele manteve o blog “tome uma xícara de chá”.
