Biography Jason Mott
Jason Mott resides in the southeastern region of North Carolina and holds a BFA in Fiction and an MFA in Poetry from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. His written work, encompassing poetry and fiction, has been featured in a variety of publications including Prick of the Spindle, The Thomas Wolfe Review, The Kakalak Anthology of Carolina Poets, Measure, and Chautauqua. In 2009, he received a Pushcart Prize nomination, and Entertainment Weekly acknowledged him as one of their 10 “New Hollywood: Next Wave” individuals to keep an eye on. Mott is the writer of two poetry compilations: We Call This Thing Between Us Love and “…hide behind me…”. His debut novel, The Returned, has been picked up by Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, in conjunction with Brillstein Entertainment and ABC. Adapted for television, it is set to premiere in March 2014 on the ABC network under the title “Resurrection.”
