Jen Williams, a resident of London, lives with her partner and their amusingly small cat. Her love for macabre fairy tales from childhood has influenced her writing, where she now specializes in creating dark and unsettling thrillers with strong female protagonists, as well as character-driven fantasy novels filled with adventure and magic. In 2014, her debut novel, The Copper Promise, marked the beginning of the Copper Cat trilogy, leading to her winning the British Fantasy Award twice for her second trilogy, the Winnowing Flame. Dog Rose Dirt, her first thriller, was published by HarperCollins in July 2021, and she has two upcoming releases in 2023: Games for Dead Girls with Harpercollins, and Talonsister with Titan. In addition to her writing, she enjoys video games, embroidery, and works as a part-time bookseller and freelance copywriter.
